Golf Dunas de Doñana Golf Dunas de Doñada opened in 2000. The course is located straight at the Atlantic ocean West of Europes biggest natural park la Doñana. Dunas de Doñana is a mixture of a links course and a Park-land style course. This fascinating course will attract both the experienced and the recreative golfer because of diversity in holes.
Located in one of the most important ecological sites in Europe, “El Coto de Doñana”, and respecting the indigenous vegetation which has been incorporated into the design of the course. After you have played the 18 holes which make up the round (a wise combination of links-style, American and parkland) you will remember perfectly each and every one of them. The wide variety of situations requires every ounce of the player’s imagination. All of the greens offer several clearly differentiated flag positions, and the teeboxes offer very mobile tee positions. Benalup Hotel Golf & Country Club The Benalup Hotel Golf & Country Club is the latest addition to the courses in the Cádiz region. It is a Belgian development. The course, designed by golf architect Baron Paul Rolin, opened in July 2001 and is situated on the top of a hill just outside the city Benalup. It provides fascinating views over the inland landscape.
The course is situated in a reasonably open area with many lakes which makes play quite challenging. Visitors are welcomed with Belgian hospitality, the first drink is on the house and lunch is included in the green fee. Benalup Golf is an environment friendly course constructed using TerraCottem. The fairways and greens have been set up in an ecologically responsible way in this lightly forested area. The 18 hole golf course has many water obstacles. Benalup Golf has a splendid view of the 'Laguna de la Janda', an enormous plain where the lake once was. In clear weather you can easily see the coast of Africa. Dehesa Montenmedio Golf & Country Club Dehesa Montenmedio is situated left of the N340 towards the sea close to Tarifa. The course is widely stretched out in a natural surrounding. Whilst playing here you can be certain there will not be any noise or disturbance of civilization nearby.
Designed by Alejandro Maldonado this course, opened in 1996, is set up with the intention to offer a playable 18-hole course where one could afford to be a little less accurate from the tee. The wind can be an important factor though. This priviliged course is unique in Andalucia. Nowhere in this region you will find an excess of quietness and luxury, profusion of wild vegetation and animals, ample of water hazards, superb greens, advanced practice facilities, an impressive Andalusian style clubhouse, guest houses and ample of other activities (one of the best Equestrian Centres of the world) all at one spot. Club de Golf Novo Sancti Petri Novo Sancti Petri, designed by Seve Ballesteros, is sited straight at the beautiful beach along the Atlantic Ocean close to Sancti Petri nearby Cádiz.
This course started as a 27-holes golf resort and offers excellent quality. With Ballesteros behind the drawing table no trouble was spared to realize his design. On the 18th, Seve Ballesteros designed a bunker in the shape of his initials (the trademark for each course he designs). For once an unusual honour to end up in a bunker! Spectacular views to the shiny beach (Recorrido A), extensively diversified rich vegetation and five impressive lakes form the surrounding of this excellent golf course (recently expanded to 36-holes) with perfect practice facilities. The golf acadamy offers various golf classes.
The hotel, opened in 1999, is located right at the beach. Other facilities at this popular resort are horse riding, tennis and soccer. Club de Golf Campano This fine course is settled in a private urbanization next to the N340 between Algeciras and Cádiz close to Chiclana de la Frontera. El Campano opened in 1985 and offers a reasonably flat 9-hole par 70 course where accuracy is needed on the narrow fairways. Be aware of the little stream that crosses the course.
The main feature of the course is its careful design. It is located on a smooth and relatively flat terrain running through a private residential estate. It is a rather short course with 9 holes though this does not prevent the existence of many hazards such as the stream that runs across the 2nd hole.
This course encourages us to hit a wide variety of strokes and use a firm hand rather than brute strength on our shots. The natural scenery is extraordinarily beautiful.
The Golf Academy of El Campano offers packages for both beginners and advanced players including a free introduction to the game. Playing at El Campano was a pleasant experience.
